As of August 2007, the old version of the Systems2win menu was replaced by the new Systems2win menu that comes with templates version 5.1 and higher.

How to uninstall the old Systems2win menu

Follow these instructions only if
your menu looks like this:


Old Systems2win menu -
in the CommandBar of Excel 97-2003

  
NOT like this:

How to uninstall the old Systems2win menu

If you are installing new Systems2win templates (or a trial version)

  1. Close Word and Excel.
  2. Select Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Systems2win.
    (Do NOT uninstall "Systems2win Application", if it exists. That is the NEW add-in and menu. You want to uninstall "Systems2win", which is the old menu.)
  3. Install your new Systems2win add-in

 

If you are NOT installing new Systems2win templates

  1. Close Word and Excel.
  2. Select Start > Programs > Systems2win. Open the Systems2win.exe file. The Systems2win Installation dialog box will appear. Click the “Uninstall” button. A message will appear indicating the uninstall process has been completed.
  3. Select Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Systems2win.
    (Do NOT uninstall "Systems2win Application", if it exists. That is the NEW add-in and menu. You want to uninstall "Systems2win", which is the old menu.)

NOTE: In the unusual event that you still see the Systems2win menu in either Word or Excel, you can manually delete the following files in your default Word and Excel startup folders: (your path may differ slightly)

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\Systems2win_Addin.xla
C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP\Systems2win Word Template.dot

Or if you are logged in as a User with less than Administrator privileges...
(so you don't have permissions to remove programs), you can Hide, but not permanently remove the toolbars

Select View > Toolbars from the menu bar and the select the Customize option.
Uncheck Systems2win toolbar and then click the Close button.
